Honestly this star is only for the receptionist who was lovely, attentive and helpful over the phone and face to face. However, the female dentist who saw my dad as an emergency through 111 on the top floor had really poor customer service skills. No hi, hello or any empathy considering it was an emergency which resulted in a tooth to be taken out with no mental prep. My dad is a fragile man that doesn’t understand English. I as his daughter took him for support but the dentist appeared ignorant! The dentist practise looks so run down as well I felt so uncomfortable being there. Please if you hate your job that much then go find something else that you are passionate about! I work in the healthcare industry myself and I know how much we struggle but that’s not our Patients fault so they should not have to suffer. Patients often feel very fragile in these sort of situations and a little bit of empathy and a smile goes a long way! I hope I never have to go there again.

Had my check up with the woman dentist she was very welcoming and friendly and reassured me even though i need a filling. Receptionist was great and friendly help me fill out all the necessary forms. Great practice!

Chipped front tooth fixed by Sonia at Newport Smile Centre no fussing very fast and efficient service and the results are Fantastic !!!! I am a very happy customer thanks to Sonia and the all the friendly staff at Newport smile centre I can highly recommend them with confidence 5 stars

Such a lovely environment, everyone is so friendly and polite to be when I arrived, receptionist greeted me at the door very welcoming helped with with the medical history form. Dentist was very polite and helpful explained all the treatment I needed, answered all my questions. The place looks shine and white! Love my dental practice!! Would recommend!

Visited here today with another party using the service and no hello or anything just "NAME?" I have never felt so uncomfortable in a place. Scaffolding going up outside. Work clearly still being completed inside. Exposed pipes and wiring throughout. Noone seemed to have a "bedside manner" receptionist was blunt and called another client a liar when it was clear she was confused on what to put down on the tablet shoved infront of her. Dentist spoke 2 words and the dental nurse said nothing at all. A total of 3 chairs in the very small waiting room when a lot of people were coming in and out. 1 of which was being used by an apprentice sort of lady alongside the receptionist but hats off to her, she did offer the chair to an elderly lady but as soon as she was seen chair was taken back again as barked by the receptionist so I remained standing. Wouldn't recommend!

I was terrified of dentists, however, after having 2 extractions plus 2 fillings @ the Smile Clinic, Baneswell my opinion has changed completely. What a fabulous practice: everyone did their utmost to put me @ ease. I am happy to recommend them: my best dental experience ever.

Great dentist im a very anxious patient lady dentist handled me well as I don't really like to have everything explained to me whist it's happening as this can make me worse, very professional, I felt well looked after! Didn't need a cleaning but I paid privately for one instead, great relaxing environment! Staff are very welcoming!

Never go here. They will try and charge you even if you are exempt. Bunch of crooks. Booked in to a different dentist now, and having my filling done for free, as should have been the case at the Smile Centre. How can they lie to patients like this? Surely they're breaking the law? Also, the dentist is abrupt and disinterested. Never go here.

Fab dentist, very reassuring and explained why things are different now in the NHS from past years. Very happy to have my treatment done here as ive been going for years! Staff also are very informative and inviting! Great teamwork and lovely environment! Thank you Newport smile centre!
